Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklifts offer height and versatility. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts could not move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
In situations requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would normally utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform designed particularly to hoist personnel. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a strap or chain that is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
