The Carriage
Similar to standard forklifts, the lifting attachment is able t be tilted from its horizontal position to forwards and backwards. The actual possible amount of tilt completely exceeds that of vertical mast lift trucks. There are various kinds of available lifting attachments, and this ability to position makes them as efficient as possible.
Most telehandlers have the capability of tilting to a position which is actually parallel to the ground. Several models have rotating carriages too. This enables the operator to radially adjust the lifting attachment. This translates to the load being able of being tilted forwards and backwards, and side to side.
Load Capacity
Telehandlers have a load capacity fairly similar to that of the vertical mast unit. The model's overall capacity will be dependent on things such as: boom extension and angle, whether the unit is lifting on outriggers or on rubber tires, and the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable. Additionally, which lifting attachment plays an important role, as does the wind, the grade the machinery is operating on and so on. All of these specifics could be changing constantly and this gives the operator a lot more information to take into consideration.
Telehandlers will usually have some different load charts available to them, giving them a good reference they could use to determine a particular lift's load capacity. Depending on the boom's configuration and the unit in particular, the load capacity may vary by thousands of pounds all together.
