Genie telescopic S-booms have a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Compared with different other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This specific unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were inaccessible by conventional jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature allows up and over reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System built by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform needs to either be lifted or lowered without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing effectiveness and production.
